Licensed Structural Engineers seeks a Project Engineer in Houston, TX
Duties:
- Assist with potential field and construction activities.
- Structural design and plan review, perform necessary calculation for Structural Schematic Design Level, review of local codes, design of retaining wall.
- Review Geotechnical reports and communicate necessary information with the Civil team and the project owner to clarify possible options for the foundation design, explore solutions for ground improvement, as well as extract design parameters.
- Using AutoCad and potential other CAD software to develop, review, and revise construction drawings and provide technical support for the General Contractors through Construction Administration Phase and answer field RFIs (Request for Information).
- Conduct field measuring and site visits to ensure the construction is complying with the design goals.
- Cost estimation, project planning, and project management for engineering and construction projects; this may include communication with client or contractor on a daily basis.
- Assist with Research and Development and review of technical literature related to the ongoing construction activities.
Requirements:
Master’s in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Management, or closely related engineering field. This position also requires one year of experience as project engineer or project manager.
